It's been four years since I've bothered to sign in here, huh?
Well, honestly, I forgot I had a blog. Blogging is kind of a dying art, as far as I can tell. Doesn't it seem that way? I guarantee no one is going to see this besides my mother, and that's if she decides to log in and see my updates.
Well, I got a promotion at work in 2015 - I'm no longer a cashier at Hobby Lobby. Now I'm the bookkeeper for the store I work in, which means I handle the monthly spending ledger, manage office paperwork, and count money. And I do it every single day, but I'm still part-time, so my shifts run from 8 to 10:30, maybe 11 on a good day.
Naturally, this gives me a lot of free time, which I have spent not blogging.
But hey, might as well give the empty void I'm talking to an update on my life, right? I broke my knee in May. The 23rd is still marked on my calendar where I was supposed to go see Porco Rosso with a friend, but instead, I bent my knee completely backward trying to put on my socks. The fractures were so fine they couldn't be seen on an X-Ray, but they sure did show up on the MRI - as well as the torn and sprained PCL and the sprained hamstring. I was out of work for two miserable months.
I can walk without my cane as of the end of September, but I still can't get on my knees or turn very fast. Walking's getting better, though, so I guess I'll be back to a somewhat normal state soon.
I've met new people, I've made new friends, and I've grown as a person I think. But I'm still living at home, I'm still not in college, and I still have anger issues.
Today I got my certificate for 5 years of service with Hobby Lobby, along with a $250 gift card to the store and a fancy schmancy gold pin to put on my apron. I've been asking about it since September 23, which was my five-year mark, so I knew it was coming, but I still cried when it was presented to me.
Also, I can't believe Grammarly corrected my spelling on the word 'schmancy'.
I've taken up more crafts and started a YouTube channel. And maybe I'll even post here again. Who knows. I sure don't!
Later.
Ten months later, here I am! Let the world know your YouTube?!
